A GATHERING for fitness instructors, gym goers and all fans of healthy living is going ahead at the home of Oxford City FC.

FitFest Oxford, whose motto is Think Fit, Eat Fit, Feel Fit, will welcome people of all sporting abilities to Marsh Lane, Marston, to try out new exercise formats with classes, workshops, talks and healthy food.

The headline act is Laura Hoggins, known in the industry as ‘Biceps’, a renowned strength coach and personal trainer at The Foundry in London.

She will be leading a class to spur interest in and to explain the benefits of weight training for all.

Event partners include Buzz Gym who will bring their Buzz Van of equipment to lead classes.

The Oxford Food Company will be serving healthy produce for lunch and snacks.

Event lead Louise Merritt said: "Because we have deliberately kept our event smaller than previous years, and because we have a brand new home with more than ample outdoor space as well as indoor facilities that are already Covid compliant, we are able to go ahead under current guidance."

To ensure social distancing, arrival times, classes, spaces and durations will be staggered and the majority of classes and workshops will be held outdoors.

Tickets start at £15 with different prices for teenagers through to a VIP package.

Parents of four to-13-year-olds can add them to the KidsZone free of charge.
