LLOYD Sabin has described Banbury’s Division 1 clash at champions High Wycombe as his side’s toughest challenge of the season so far.

The north Oxfordshire side sit top of the table after winning their opening three matches in the Home Counties Premier League, profiting from the majority of the remaining fixtures being wiped out by the rain last weekend.

While Sabin is refusing to look too far ahead, he admits tomorrow’s match at Wycombe will be a good test for his side.

“We’re not thinking about the title at the end of the season, but this is definitely our biggest challenge so far,” said the 21-year-old, who names an unchanged team.

“We have played three sides who may be mid-table and Wycombe are always up there so all of us are excited.”

Great & Little Tew will wait for the all-clear on Jordan Garrett’s fitness before deciding whether to select the teenager for their home match against Harefield.

The 17-year-old suffered a blow to the head while playing for Gloucestershire 2nd on May 16 and is waiting for the thumbs up from the first-class county side’s medical team.

Tew captain Andy Harris, who has named Garrett in a squad of 12, said: “We have got to be careful, we cannot over-exert him to soon.

“He has got a bright future ahead of him and we don’t want to jeopardise that.”

Tew sit fifth in the table after three games and Harris is hopeful of another victory.

He said: “It is a home game which we will look to use to our advantage.

“Hopefully we can get a points haul against them.”
