A one-day festival celebrating "otherness" is set to entertain with performances, talks and workshops.

Oxford-based Young Women's Music Project (YWMP) will host No. 80 alongside its partners at Modern Art Oxford on May 25 from 3pm.

Director of YWMP, Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani said: "We are excited to be at the forefront of change in Oxford.

"We are bringing together new and cutting edge performances to the city in collaboration with like minded partners to disrupt and dismantle the status quo.

"Our choices have been based on the barriers that YWMP and its participants have faced over the years.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming anyone and everyone into this open and healing space."

The name No. 80 comes from a previous tick box in the census. It designated other races or ethnicities that did not make the main list.

The festival will be headlined by Wild Mix, a musical by Jenny Moore featuring five singers, drummers, and a kickboxer.

Ms Moore's piece explores what healing feels like with a transparent, water-filled boxing bag as a unique instrument at its heart.

The festival will be spread across the Modern Art Oxford cafe, yard and basement, and will also feature performances from electronic artist Maria Uzor, Assia Ghendir and Leo Hermitt, and Elouiza,

Workshops will take place throughout the day and will include deep listening, recording musical compositions and adding to a participatory sculpture.
