Temperatures could reach up to 20C this weekend in Oxford as the UK faces what is being described as a 'mini-heatwave'.
After a wet winter that saw the UK being hit by several storms and heavy bouts of flooding, Oxfordshire should finally be embraced with warm rays of sunshine at the weekend.
The 'unseasonably warm' spell, as described by the Met Office, could see temperatures hit 17C today (Thursday, April 11), above average for this time of year.

The warmer temperatures are expected to continue and rise into tomorrow (Friday, April 12) and Saturday (April 13) lasting until Sunday (April 14) when temperatures will return to 13C.
However, the warmer temperatures are forecasted to last three weeks across the UK and have even been labelled as a 'mini-heatwave' by some national news outlets.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “A cloudy start to the day with outbreaks of light rain in the far southeast, becoming dry and bright although often cloudy. Feeling rather warm. Maximum temperature 19C.
"A cloudy start to Friday, staying dry with sunshine developing into the afternoon. Another warm day. Maximum temperature 19C.
"Sunny spells and staying dry Saturday followed by sunny spells and showers Sunday. Cloudy with further rain Monday followed by brighter spells and blustery showers. Often windy, temperatures near normal."
