We asked parents across the county to send in your World Book Day pictures and they didn't disappoint.

Characters ranging from Willy Wonka to Greg the Sausage Roll were inspired by authors from JK Rowling to David Walliams.

World Book Day is a charity event held annually on the first Thursday in March.

Each child celebrates the day by dressing up as their favourite fictional character and is provided with a voucher to spend on a book of their choice.
