Shrove Tuesday is traditionally the last chance for indulgent eating before 40 days of fasting for Lent and pancakes are a popular choice.
Students from Oriel College at the University of Oxford took part in the annual tradition of Pancake Day races.
Organised by undergraduate students, the pancake race is an annual event at Oriel College which sees teams of four race around the college’s First Quad, flipping pancakes at every corner.
