Steam Days at Didcot Railway Centre continued last weekend, pulling in visitors of all ages both locally and from far and wide.

Steam Days allow visitors to travel back in time to the golden age of the Great Western Railway, exploring the sights, sounds and smells of steam.

Guests are welcome to explore this 21-acre living museum with trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s.

Youngsters and cousins four-year-old Fred and five-year-old Harry were visiting from West London with their grandparents. Their grandparents said: "The boys have been visiting Didcot Railway Centre every other month since they were younger than two years of age.

"They are members of the Great Western Society and proudly possess their own membership cards. They never tire of the railway centre - we have been to others but this is the best. There is so much for them to see, smell and touch, and so much space to work off their energy."

Steam trains operating on at least one of the centre's two demonstration lines, allowing for unlimited rides. On several Steam Days, the second line also runs and may feature a pioneering diesel railcar, a heritage diesel locomotive or a small branch line steam engine.

Steam Days continue this half term today (Wednesday, February 14) and both days this weekend (Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February).
