Oxford Spires Academy has been awarded a 'Good' overall rating after an official Ofsted inspection.

The academy, part of Anthem Schools Trust, was visited by inspectors in November - its first inspection since the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was rated 'Good' in all areas including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth form provision.

The views of students, parents, and staff were taken on board, as well as thorough investigations in English, science, art, computing and geography.

Ofsted described the school as an extremely inclusive institution with a studious and encouraging atmosphere.

Inspectors also recognised and commended the exceptional provision for Special Educational Needs.

They noted that pupils with particular needs have total access to the same educational and enrichment activities as every other student.

Ofsted also acknowledged that the teachers maintain a clear perspective on the important knowledge that the students must attain.

Its sixth form was celebrated for preparing young adults for work.

Also noted in the report was that pupil's well-being and safety are given top attention, as well as the school imposing high expectations that are being met.
