Big Brother has returned with a bang and one contestant from the Cotswolds has already certainly made his mark.

25-year-old Henry was the 14th contestant to join this year's Big Brother and is hoping for his "moment of craziness" on the iconic reality TV show.

Before stepping out of the flash Big Brother car to a live audience, viewers got to know Henry through a pre-recorded VT. "I'm Henry, I'm 25 years old, I'm a food writer from Toddington in the Cotswolds," he said in the introductory clip.

"I basically get paid to eat a lot and drink a lot. I went to boarding school, we had our beloved matron who would do our washing, and leave our bedding at the end of our beds. I would love for there to be a matron in the house.

"At the last election, I voted for the Conservative Party because, at the end of the day, Boris Johnson is the person who I'd want to go for a martini the most with. I'm definitely a royalist, I think people who don't like the royal family should just leave the country, to be honest.

"I'm 25 but I'm not an adult. These are some big things they don't teach you at school that I need to learn. And also just getting to know loads of different people from very different backgrounds that I might not get to meet in my everyday life."

Henry admitted that his parents would describe him as a "snob" but he takes it as a compliment. "I think it means you've got high standards and good taste," he explained.

Big Brother fans react to Henry

One user on X said: "Instant ick".

Another preempted: "That's the first to be evicted".

"Watching big brother now, needless to say henry sucks and i hope trish tears him apart", said one viewer.

Some, however, gave Henry the benefit of the doubt. In a long-winded defence, Tinsel Talk said: "Henry brings an interesting mix of interests and aspirations to the Big Brother house. His desire to have a martini with Boris Johnson and his self-identification as a royalist suggests a fascination with politics and royalty.

"Wanting to emerge from the house as an "adult" hints at personal growth ambitions. Additionally, his parents' description of him as "a bit of a snob" being interpreted as having high standards and good taste showcases his self-confidence. It will be intriguing to see how these facets of his personality come into play during his time on the show. #BBUK".

Commenting on a potential Big Brother ploy for chaos, someone noted: "Big brother knew whay they were doing putting in a Tory, A liberal and a scouser in the house henry is about to have a mare #BigBrotherUK".

Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9 pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
