There will be road closures affecting the M40 and A34 in Oxfordshire this week.

National Highways has revealed the roads in which motorists will face disruption this week due to maintenance works taking place.

A large number of works are taking place on Junction 9 of the M40 and overnight closures are also planned.

Motorists should be aware that a carriageway closure is set to impact those travelling on the A34 near Oxford on the coming weekend and the route will be shut between Peartree and Botley.

M40

  • Northbound - Junction 9 entry slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 15 to 6am on August 16
  • Northbound - Junction 9 entry slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 16 to 6am on August 17
  • Southbound - Junction 9 exit slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 16 to 6am on August 17
  • Southbound - Junction 9 exit slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 17 to 6am on August 18
  • Southbound - Junction 9 entry slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 17 to 6am on August 18
  • Northbound - Junction 11 exit slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 18 to 6am on August 19
  • Northbound - Junction 11 entry slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 18 to 6am on August 19
  • Southbound - Junction 9 exit slip road closed for maintenance - 9.30pm on August 18 to 6am on August 19

A34

  • Southbound - Peartree to Botley carriageway closed for construction works - 9pm on August 19 to 6am on August 20
  • Southbound - Peartree to Botley carriageway closed for construction works - 9pm on August 20 to 6am on August 21
