A 41-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman.
This comes following a police cordon on Atkyns Road in Wood Farm this afternoon (July 31).
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “Thames Valley Police received a report of an assault at Atkyns Road, Oxford, today (July 31).

“The incident took place at around 2.30pm where a woman was assaulted.
“If anyone has any footage from the area or any information about the incident that took place, please contact the force by reporting on our website or by calling 101, quoting investigation reference number 43230340208.”
He added: “A 41-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, he remains in custody.”
Atkyns Road was shut off to the public and residents reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area from around 3.30pm.

One person who wished to remain anonymous said: "There is a lot of police activity.
"The road is completely shut off. Nobody can drive in or out."
Another eyewitness reported seeing 'some trouble' outside Rowlands Pharmacy on Atkyns Road.
One local businessman said he heard shouting and broken glass.
Due to the police cordon, bus services were unable to serve Atkyns Road shops and Nuffield Road.
The Oxford Bus Company apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The police cordon was removed and road reopened at around 4.15pm.
