Cherwell Cats Protection has revealed which cats in its care are still looking for new owners.
The charity’s branch in Cherwell was founded in 2006 and it is run by a small team which is dedicated to finding stray and neglected cats a new home.
The Oxford Mail’s previous coverage of cats from the charity seeking a new home led to two cats, Penelope and Leo, finding a new owner.
Below are the descriptions of the cats from one of the charity’s volunteers.
Ozzy
Age: Three years old
Ozzy is quite young but he is not that bothered about playing with toys. He enjoys having company and will be on your lap within 24 hours of meeting you.
He’s a very placid cat who loves treats and is very easy to handle. We know he doesn’t like dogs but he might be okay with a calm cat, and he could live with children.
Whoever ends up being Ozzy’s owner will have won the lottery.
Maurice
Age: Seven years old
He is a loving boy who loves to be around you and also loves charging around outside. Maurice is confident and will happily come to greet you.
He needs powder added to food daily to keep his digestive system working properly.
Gimzo
Age: Four years old
Gimzo is looking for a new home to call his own.
He loves a good scratch all around his neck. He is a gentle and affectionate cat who would be better in a quieter home with older or no children at all.
He has previously lived with other cats but it is believed he may have been pushed around.
Elsa
Age: Seven years old Elsa is a confident and playful lady.
She is on a diet, and she can only live with older children or adults. She has a short tail due to a previous injury but this doesn’t cause her any issues.
Sherlock
Age: Three years old
Sherlock is a confident and friendly young cat who will head butt you for a fuss. He spends his day sleeping and watching the world go by from his bedroom window.
In the evening, he will have an energetic play session followed by curling up on the sofa with you.
He is fine with older children but ideally needs to be the only pet.
