Plans for a research building and coffee shop on the site of supermarket in Oxford have been withdrawn.
Developers had been proposing to demolish the Co-op in Headington at 152 London Road and replace it with a which would be two to four storeys high according to planning papers for the application.
It also included plans for a service area, cycle parking and drop off bays on Stile Road.

The building would have been used for research and development purposes with a coffee shop on the ground floor.
The application was submitted to Oxford City Council by Cantay Estates on February 22 and the application was withdrawn yesterday (July 13).
In the decision notice, no reason was given for the withdrawal.
