Oxford is a city full of history that dates back hundreds of years.
But in the period since World War II, Oxford's landscape has changed with the addition of key new buildings.
These most notably include Plant Oxford in Cowley and the Kassam Stadium where Oxford United play today.

These aerial photos taken from Google Earth show the changes in the city between 1945 and 2022.
Construction began at the Kassam Stadium in 1996 and it was first opened in 2001.
Financial problems meant the building of the site stalled between 1997 and 2000.
The stadium is located in Littlemore and has a capacity of up to 12,500 fans.
Another recent addition is Plant Oxford in Cowley.
Although this site existed prior to 1945, in the 1990s it was completely reorganised.
It was once used Morris Motors and later by the Pressed Steel Company.
From an aerial point of view, the Plant is characterised by large white buildings.
Plant Oxford produces Minis built by BMW since 2001.
