With Pancake Day fast approaching, we’ve put together a list of the best places to visit according to Google reviewers. 

All these places were recommended by google reviewers who left positive comments about their experiences.

The Breakfast Club, the Westgate, Queen St, OX1 1PG

The Breakfast Club is hosting a pancake challenge for anyone who would like to attempt 12 pancakes in 12 minutes.

Their pancake specials on offer include Cherry Chocolate Scrumdiddlyumptious and Violet Cheesecake Beauregarde.

These both come at a price of £16.

Google reviewer Ash Sharpe said: “This place is absolute god tier for breakfast. Been to a couple of the branches in London and Brighton and they consistently deliver excellent quality food and drinks.

“The all American is a firm favourite, portions are very generous so come hungry.”

Oxford Brunch Bar, 19 George St, OX1 2AU

Located in the city centre and convenient for those looking to pop in for some pancakes whilst doing some morning shopping.

The brunch bar has a New York Pancake Breakfast on its menu and there are four pancakes on its menu.

These include the classic, the berries one, the nutella one and the Spanish one.

After visiting, Jack Bamford said: “Cosy little brunch bar with great coffee/food and wonderfully friendly and approachable staff.”

The Handle Bar, 28-32, St Michael's St, OX1 2EB

This is a cosy brunch restaurant in the city centre and for pancake day it will be selling its famous coconut pancake stack.

Toppings which can be added to the stack include bacon jam & bacon, fresh mango, coconut yoghurt, apple compote and coconut yoghurt.

Joao Ferreira said: “Awesome place. Super friendly team and the food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The best pancake pile I ever had.”

Rick’s Diner, 88-90 Cowley Rd, Oxford OX4 1JB

This café on Cowley Road serves burgers and pancakes for people looking to tuck into some lunch before making their way through a pancake stack.

The pancakes topped with banana & nutella or fruits cost £6.99.

Pancakes with cinnamon, sugar or maple syrup only cost £3.99.

Art Café, 14 Bonn Square, Oxford OX1 1LT

If you want to tuck into some pancakes whilst also looking at local art, then this is the place to go.

Reviewer Carly said: “We visited on 3rd January and it was lovely, we visited Oxford for a day out and this cafe stood out. Service was quick and food was amazing can't fault.

“Just make sure you get a seat quick as it does fill up but it's a nice cosy atmosphere. Would visit again.”
