  • Emanuel Liszko, 29, of Bodley Road, Oxford, admitted driving without a licence, driving without insurance, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after being required to do so by a police officer in Iffley Road, Oxford, on January 9. Given a six-month driving ban, fined £210 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Busevicius Mantas, 20, of no fixed address, admitted causing criminal damage to a shop window at the Carphone Warehouse shop in Orchard Street, Didcot, on October 30. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £15 costs.
  • Alice Ashcroft, 22, of Abbott Road, Didcot, admitted stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels worth £36 from a Tesco in Cockcroft Road, Didcot on December 30. Also admitted stealing six beef joints worth £70 from a Co-op in Broadway, Didcot on December 21. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 in costs.
  • Gareth Kilby, 46, of Paradise Street, Oxford, admitted destroying a window at Liasion restaurant in Castle Street, Oxford on November 20. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 in compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Matthew Webb, 33, of Abbott Road, Didcot, admitted stealing six beef joints worth £70 from a Co-op in Broadway, Didcot on December 21. Also admitted stealing three bottles of Famous Grouse worth £45 from a Tesco in Cockcroft Road on December 28. Also admitted stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels worth £36 from a Tesco in Cockcroft Road, Didcot on December 29. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a total of £151 in compensation.
  • Georgina Beauchamp, 26, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of Jack Daniels worth £18 from a Tesco in Oxford on January 2. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Darren Russell, 28, of St Mary’s Court, Witney, admitted stealing meat worth £44.97 from a Waitrose in Woolgate Shopping Centre, Witney on November 5. Also admitted stealing beauty products worth £14.09 from Lloyds Pharmacy in Witney High Street, on September 4. Also admitted stealing a child’s computer tablet worth £24.99 from Dentons Toy Shop in Witney High Street on December 11. Given a community order and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £30 in costs.
  • Martin Bolton, 35, of Pebble Drive, Didcot, admitted growing six cannabis plants (a Class B drug) at Didcot on November 4. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.
  • David Farnell, 27, of no fixed abode, was convicted of drink-driving in the Co-op car park in Brize Norton Road, Carterton on August 13. Had 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given 10 points on his driving licence and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  • Jacob Blackstock, 26, of Long Close, Oxford, was convicted of travelling on a Cross Country train service between Oxford and Leamington Spa without paying the £17 fare and with intention to avoid payment on August 26. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £17 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Bernadette Doran, 34, of Highworth Place, Witney, admitted travelling on a Cross Country railway service between Oxford and Doncaster, via Banbury, without paying the £82.50 fare and with no intent to on March 24, 2014. Fined £265 and ordered to pay £82.50 compensation, a £27 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Paul Hopkins, 39, of Bridge Street, Banbury, was convicted of travelling on the railway at Banbury Station without paying a fare and with intent to avoid payment on December 3. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £4.70 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs.
  • Ashley King, 31, of Ironstones, Banbury, was convicted of failing to hand over a railway ticket for inspection when asked to do so by an authorised person at Banbury on July 14. Also convicted of the same charge at Banbury on July 18. Fined a total of £400 and ordered to pay £9.40 compensation, £140 costs and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Carl McCrohon, 22, of Prescott Avenue, Banbury, admitted travelling on a Chiltern Railway service between Bicester North and Banbury without paying the £18.80 fare and with intent to avoid paying on January 29, 2014. Fined £305 and ordered to pay £18.80 compensation, a £31 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Elliot Clarke, 21, of Paradise Square, Oxford, was convicted of travelling on a Cross Country railway service between Banbury and Coventry on June 29 without paying the £11.70 fare and with no intent to pay. Also convicted of travelling on a Cross Country service between Oxford and Banbury on June 29 without paying the £5.70 fare and with no intention to. Fined a total of £600 and ordered to pay £17.20 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £250 costs.
  • Kelvin Green, 38, of Poundfield Close, Headington, Oxford, was convicted of taking a Cross Country train service between Birmingham New Street and Oxford on August 15 and not paying the £35 fare, and with no intention to pay. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £35 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Natalie Horseman, 23, of Park Close, Banbury, admitted entering a train for the purpose of travelling between Oxford and Banbury without a valid ticket to travel on June 29. Fined £35 and ordered to pay £5.70 compensation and a £20 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Brian Martin, 48, of Station Approach, Banbury, was convicted of travelling on a Cross Country railway service between Basingstoke and Banbury on July 3 without paying the £29.60 fare and with intent to avoid payment thereof. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £29.60 compensation, a £40 victims’ surcharge and £125 costs.
  • Rebecca Lambrianou, 23, of Ravencroft, Langford, near Bicester, admitted dropping a cigarette in Sheep Street, Bicester, on July 3. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
