Witnesses are being sought after two men were assaulted in George Street.

Police said the 24-year-old men suffered concussion outside Debenhams, on Saturday, November 15, at about 3am.

Seven or eight men were seen with the victims at the scene and ran towards St Giles.

One of the victims injured his cheek and the other suffered a broken ankle, damage to his jaw, bruised his ribs and left shoulder. They were both taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and later discharged.

Police want to speak to the group of men, who were white and aged between 19 and 21, and anyone else in the area at the time.
